About Sue
Hi, my name is Sue! I’m an English tutor currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Sydney, with a strong academic background in English, including a high 6 in IB English Language and Literature HL and an IELTS score of 8.5. I’ve had several years of experience tutoring middle school students from Grades 6–9, including my time with the Tutoring Dragons program, and I enjoy getting to meet new students! I teach because I love helping others gain confidence and realize their potential, especially in a subject that can feel challenging at times (trust me, I've struggled too). Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and watching movies, which often inspires engaging discussions and examples in my lessons. I’m patient, organized, and committed to creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving.

I am a dedicated English tutor who tailors lessons to each student’s level and learning style, focusing on building strong foundations and confidence. My lessons combine clear explanations, structured practice, and engaging activities to support progress in reading, writing, and comprehension.
I tutor students from early childhood to secondary school, from basic to advanced levels, with lessons typically lasting 1–1.5 hours. I achieved a high 6 in IB English Language and Literature HL, hold an IELTS score of 8.5, and currently study at the University of Sydney. I was previously part of the Tutoring Dragons program and have several years of experience teaching Grades 6–9 students.
