About Sharon
Presentation skills and vocabulary building are central to the language support I provide to newcomers. I hold a BM Music Education and CELTA from U of T.
These 13 years of teaching have allowed me to work with hundreds of students. I find that idioms and expressions often serve as a bridge to cultural belonging. Grammatical foundations are built slowly to ensure long-term retention.
My identity as a first-generation Canadian helps me connect with those navigating new systems. I look forward to helping you find your voice in this country.

Fluency feels like a natural conversation during a coffee break. Students identify their specific goals regarding exam speaking practice or general interaction. My background in music education helps me incorporate rhythm into language patterns. Working professionals and IELTS candidates often find this structure beneficial.
