About Dennis
Hi! My name is Dennis Uzun, I'm Dutch and I moved to Turkey when I was 6 years old. Therefore, both Dutch and Turkish are my native languages. I know English at C2 level and Spanish at B1 level. The reason I put an emphasis on this is the fact that since I know the language learning process very well, I know at what I have to pay attention to while teaching and where my students might have difficulties. I am a senior Foreign Language Education student at Boğaziçi University. In terms of my teaching experience, I had both corporate and personal business experiences over a period of 3 years. During these 3 years, I have worked in jobs such as a volunteer English teacher at TOÇEV, a summer camp assistant English teacher at TEVİTÖL, and many private courses with various students.

When it comes to the content of my lessons, that totally depends on my students. The content and process of my courses will be based on your wishes and needs (Business English, English for personal purposes, preparation for specific exams, spoken English, English for research paper / essay writing, etc.). I teach my lessons in an energetic and interactive way. I avoid teaching by memorization and prefer to teach my students the logic behind certain structures, and how/why/when to use it. Apart from my own lessons, I try to make the learning process more natural and fun by using movies, music, various applications and sites when needed.
