About Sonja
In January 2017 I passed my CELTA course, which qualifies me to teach English to adults.
In addition, I have also attended a TEFL course to teach online, which makes online lessons easier and more interesting.
I have been teaching children privately for the past three years. They scored the highest marks in their years in recent end-of-year exams.

I believe in learning by doing, my lessons are built on real-life situations. I use authentic English material whenever possible and make lessons approachable.
My aim is to enable you to use English in your everyday life and during travels.
I am of Swiss-Dutch origin and currently live on the Isle of Man. I have spent many years in English-speaking countries and know of the difficulties of using a foreign language abroad. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with you!
