About Maad
I have been teaching English as a Second Language since 2008. I have had teaching experience both in the United States and internationally. I have taught various levels of English proficiency, from beginners' to advance levels.
During my work, I have had taught and worked closely with students of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, as well as different socioeconomic statuses, so throughout my years of teaching, I have developed a great ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic sensitivity towards others, something that I firmly believe is important in today's multi-cultural society.

I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Linguistics from Benghazi University, a Master's degree in TESOL and Linguistics from West Virginia University, and I'm currently pursuing my Ph.D. in TESOL and ESL Education at the University of South Carolina.
In my teaching, I use a student-center approach, so my students learn to use the language on their own, while I facilitate and guide them through the process of language acquisition. I am a big fan of using technology and multimedia in the classroom, so my lessons involve using language games, videos, and online learning platforms like Edmodo.
