About Zoe
I graduated from my PGCE in 2021 and went straight into working in a secondary school, working closely with students who were struggling with English.
Working with smaller groups and engaging in one-on-one sessions proved significantly more beneficial for the students, giving them a deeper understanding of the subject and the texts that they were studying.
I have always enjoyed helping people and love reading in my spare time; this enjoyment steered me towards the profession of English tutoring. It's a role that allows me to blend my love for literature with the gratification of assisting students in their academic journey.
Alongside reading, I also enjoy going to the theatre and watching a wide genre of plays, such as musicals and even Shakespeare!

During every individual tutoring session, I create a customised learning experience tailored to your unique needs. Together, we will delve into specific areas aimed at enhancing your English proficiency. We will cover a diverse range of topics, including poetry, modern prose, Shakespeare and writing skills, ensuring you build confidence across both English Literature and Language.
Typically lasting one hour, with the option to extend to two hours if required, my lessons cater to secondary school students aged 11-16. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs or seeking additional support in English, my sessions are designed to meet your specific requirements.
Drawing from my teaching experience in schools, I will bring insights into what examiners are looking for. I'm eager to impart this valuable knowledge during our sessions, helping you with your growth and success in English.
