About Christine
For the last 12 years I've been teaching high school and university classes overseas in China and South Korea in subjects from ESL to writing to literature. With my Master of Arts degree in English Literature, I have developed curricula designed for ease of understanding difficult literary concepts for my second language students. I've taught thousands of students over the years; many of them have gone on to pursue graduate work in highly respected universities in America and the United Kingdom using the writing and language skills learned in my classes.

My teaching method is based on the Socratic method of instruction. I start with easy building blocks of a concept and ask my students questions that lead them to the correct answer through their own conclusions. I approach tutoring as a partnership between teacher and student where we work together as guide and explorer.
