About Laura
Hello, I am a newly graduated English Literature student who is predicted to achieve a First from the University of York (Russell Group University). I am new to tutoring but very enthusiastic to teach and am very flexible!
I would like to tutor someone that has clear goals or targets for what they'd like to focus on in our sessions whether that be skills based, close analysis, essay skills or literary theory. However, I am flexible as to the style of teaching, willing to adapt to a fixed structure per session or allowing it to flow organically. I will read and analyse focus texts in my own time in order to reflect on comments with accuracy and enable development. I am open to tutoring from GCSE level to A Level, though in the current circumstances I recognise that year 10s and 12s require particular attention and support.
