About Betty
I am a 23 year old graduate who would love to be an english teacher in the future. I have studied english literature and language at university whilst being dyslexic so I know what it feels like to struggle sometimes. I believe that students can achieve whatever they like if they put the hard work in and have a little extra help from people like myself. I am a kind and patient individual who has a passion for learning. I have been a tutor for two years now and would love to continue.

I have a very interactive style of teaching which is tailored to the students individual needs so that they can make the most improvements. My lessons are based off exam style questions and the exam specification to achieve the best progress and grades. I have been tutoring for two years with over 200 pupils who have gone up more than two grades. I am 23 years old and I find being this age makes pupils of all ages feel more comfortable and less nervous- not to mention I can advice skills and exam tricks I used in my study’s too.
The typical length of a lesson is 60 minutes but a two hour session is a good way of boosting their grades and confidence!
I have a first class degree in English Literature and language and will be studying an English literature masters at Edinburgh University. Alongside this I have 11 A*s at GCSE.
I can tutor pupils at KS3, GCSE and A Level and have lots of experience with all levels
