About Matt
My favourite thing about English Literature is the sheer diversity of the subject. A discussion can run for hours upon hours and still produce new ideas that then sprout even more to be discussed, and this is (in my opinion) the best way to learn. When we speak with one another we are given the opportunity to grow our analysis with the experiences and lessons that our peers have experienced.
About me, I am a fitness nut (self proclaimed) and spend as much free time as my studies afford me absorbing information around the subject to improve my own results. I love spending time in nature (National Trust membership helps) and visiting historical places.

Hi!
First off, I'm happy you're considering me as your tutor! Read on to find out a little about how I teach.
My lessons are mostly discussion based - I believe this is the most effective way to construct unique ideas and formulate arguments, though I happily tailor if you prefer to learn a certain way.
What I offer:
- Increasing the quality of your text analysis
- Personalised tutoring based on your essay and exam feedback
- Degree level insight on your curriculum
- Content covering poetry, plays & fiction.
A typical lesson is 45 minutes to an hour in length. I have experience working with children under 12 in a primary education setting, though I currently prefer to work with GCSE and A Level students. My other experience within the literature field includes editorial work for fiction and poetry.
