About Lola
I’m a recent graduate who now works in the film industry. I’ve found that my degree has provided me with skills that help with my job, but maybe that’s because I’m biased and think literature is the best subject to study!
I really enjoy teaching & tutored extensively whilst I was studying. I love showing people my passion towards the subject, and hopefully passing that onto the people I teach. I think getting people to feel confident about their own thoughts and ideas does not only help in. An academic setting, but is a more holistic skill that begins to seep into other aspects of a person’s life. It’s really fantastic to see & I find it to be an incredibly rewarding experience.

I love talking about literature and together we’ll be able to build up technical foundations, as well as figuring out your personal thoughts about a text (which is what makes it so interesting!) We’ll really focus on the why. I have a comprehensive understanding of theory & if your qualification desires that, we can have a look at texts from this kind of approach, which will get you those higher grades. My goal is to make students feel more confident in their own ideas, giving them the tools they need to run with these ideas & flourish academically.
