About Ruchika
I am a qualified and enthusiastic English educator with a BA Honors and MA in English Literature, a Bachelor of Education, and a TESOL qualification completed in Singapore.
My academic and professional training has provided me with a strong foundation in English language and literature, teaching methodology, lesson planning, child psychology, and pedagogy. During my TESOL training, I gained hands-on classroom experience teaching English to learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds, where my students demonstrated measurable progress, including improved spoken fluency and an average 20% increase in language assessment scores over the course of instruction.
I am patient, approachable, and deeply committed to student success. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment in which students feel confident to participate, ask questions, and learn from mistakes. In my teaching practice, I have consistently helped learners improve their academic performance, with many students showing marked improvement in reading comprehension, writing accuracy, and spoken confidence within a single term. My teaching approach is patient, interactive and tailored to each learner’s needs. I begin by assessing the student’s current level, curriculum, strengths and areas requiring improvement.
I use clear explanations, practical examples, reading activities, worksheets, creative exercises and guided conversation. My lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, pronunciation and spoken English. Each class includes a quick revision, a focused new concept, guided practice and a short task to check understanding. I encourage students to ask questions and learn without fear of making mistakes.
A typical lesson lasts 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and learning needs.
I hold a BA (Honors) and MA in English Literature, a Bachelor of Education and a TESOL qualification. My training includes teaching methodology, lesson planning, child psychology and pedagogy. I also have classroom experience teaching English to adult learners from different linguistic backgrounds.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students, as well as adults who wish to improve their grammar, writing, pronunciation or conversational English. My goal is to improve academic performance while developing confident and independent English learners.
