About Jenny
Friendly, approachable student with previous experience of tutoring in the school environment; at my last sixth form, and prior to that high school, I undertook the role of an English Prefect. This entailed offering assistance to any students in need of support or tutoring in their English work. I have been complimented in the past by parents and teachers who agreed my support in their child's English studies was beneficial.

Before even attempting to teach my students any material, I sit down with each student independently and find out what they believe their own strengths and weaknesses are in their English work. This gives me a general idea of how I can best use my own knowledge in the subject to help each student with their own individual worries or concerns about the subject. Then, I like to read a selection of essays the student has written to get an idea of their writing style and note any patterns in errors in their punctuation, spelling or grammar. After this, I mostly leave it up to the student to decide what pieces of work they would like support with, and I give detailed feedback on how the student could improve and achieve higher marks.
