About Gosia
I have always been passionate about learning foreign languages and teaching them to others (I know Polish, English, French, German, Portuguese, and plan to learn more of them), as I have always done to my friends and family. The first foreign language I learned was English, of course, which I was convinced I was never going to master at school. That prompted me to find other courses and different ways of learning it, which made me more and more fascinated with the inner workings of language learning process and the language itself. I managed to get to the point of passing my Cambridge English Exams and TOEFL exam with high scores and getting into my dream Canadian university that I now study English Literature at. I am convinced that with the right approach, anybody can master any language they want and that English exams or grammar do not have to be intimidating!

I focus on individual goals and needs of my students and personalise the lessons to accommodate their specific situation. As someone who also had to learn English by myself in a way that allowed me to pass all the necessary English exams and get into my dream Canadian university and study English Literature full-time, I understand the struggles of learning a foreign language (especially since English is not the only foreign language I know) and I am prepared to clearly explain any linguistic concepts, systematically work our way through all of English grammar in a way that feels most natural, guide you through the exam preparation (as I prepared myself and took many courses that helped me get to the level of exam proficiency I am at now) that will help you understand the strategy these tests require from you, work through any element of language learning process with you, or simply help you on your language learning journey as a whole. I will explain the material and work on exercises with you (homework optional), during which you can ask me any questions. I can make it into a fun culture-based lesson, as well as an intense focus session - that is up to you. I want to create a plan of lessons that works for you and adjust the material and intensity accordingly. I offer a free first lesson without commitment, during which we can discuss your expectations for the course and our further work together, so that you can feel confident that you are making the right choice moving forward!
