About Hanna
I started my teaching journey at summer camps, leading lessons about math, music and English. As I continued my education I fulfilled roles as a peer tutor for those both significantly and slightly younger than myself. Once I graduated from the International Baccalaureate program I began to study English literature at a post-secondary institution. Through this specialization I realized my passion for teaching English specifically, continuing to remotely tutor students in the subject. Since I began my English education I have written for papers and competed on nationally recognized debate teams, further honing my skills in argumentative and structured writing.

In the past three years working with ages 9-17, I have perfected my goal-oriented lesson plans. I have learned students thrive under individualized goals, and teaching. I have never taught the exact lesson twice, even when the content is essentially identical! When I take on a student I do an initial analysis, and consider what their parents are hoping for as well. Based on that, I will develop a timeline-based plan focusing on the completion of smaller goals throughout their learning. As a baseline I always follow the I do, We do, You do model, altering the structure for individual student needs. While I love teaching all ages, I have the most experience with high school students.
