I am a student at LSU pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I have been writing creatively for a few years now. I have helped many students achieve A's on their essays and creative writing activities.

With creative writing, it is a process, so I like students to come up with a few ideas on their own, drawing inspiration from their personal lives or their favorite works. Then, I encourage them to brainstorm a beginning, middle, and end with details they find important to fit in their writing. Once they create a rough draft, we go over it a few times, making sure to leave plenty of notes with constructive criticism in order for them to improve their writing. When they feel their writing has improved to the point of comfortability, we go over the last draft one last time to ensure they do not have any grammatical mistakes. My students also learn to improve their weaknesses and reinforce their strengths within their writing.
