About Louis
I am a third year languages student, and I would love to share some of what I have learnt with others. I am extrovert and enjoy meeting/being with people. Tutoring is the perfect way to combine my passion for languages with meeting new people. I love to read, mainly fiction and am passionate about films. I also love to travel, discover new places and have an active interest in photography and art. I would describe myself as likeable, compassionate, and professional.

I believe in the importance of getting to know my students and creating a comfortable environment beneficial for both of us. I would like to offer individualised learning sessions, tailored to suit the needs of each student, to help them meet their learning expectations and step up their English proficiency. As a highly able English and French (which I am currently studying at Bristol University) speaker as well as intermediate level Italian, I can both understand the challenge and the satisfaction of tackling a new language. I have experience tutoring English as a foreign language, as well as working with younger children as a teaching assistant.
I would describe my tutoring methods as patient and supportive yet rigorous. I would like to make use of online resources such as PowerPoint and quizzes which will help the student engage with the content in a fun way. This will also allow students to go over content we have discussed in lessons in their own time. Using these tools, I can structure the content around the students’ personal lives, I.e. music tastes or hobbies.
