About Naomi

Hi, I'm Naomi! I believe that words have the power to transform our thoughts into meaningful connections, which is why I love both reading and writing.

I want to teach because I enjoy helping others grow in confidence and reach their goals. Learning English is about more than grammar and vocabulary—it's about being able to express yourself, share your ideas, and connect with the world around you. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating their progress.

My goal is to help every student become a more confident English speaker and empower them to use the language to express themselves authentically.

About the lesson

I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Macquarie University, where I learn about speech production, phonetics, language development, and communication. Through my studies, I have developed a strong understanding of English pronunciation, the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), speech sounds, and how language is acquired and used in everyday life.

I offer beginner-friendly ESL lessons tailored to each student's goals, whether that's improving conversational English, building confidence, expanding vocabulary, or developing clearer pronunciation. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging, creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident to make mistakes and learn.

As someone with experience working in diverse environments and supporting people from different backgrounds, I understand that learning a new language can be challenging. I aim to make lessons practical, engaging, and focused on real-life communication skills.
