Given that I am an English student about to graduate, I can give lessons to anyone up to the level of a third year college student majoring in English. This applies for both writing and ESL.
My lessons for ESL generally involve reading books and going over any mistakes the student may make. I believe that focusing on mistakes allows one to learn the most in the shortest amount of time, so a focus on them is very effective.
I keep the same philosophy for writing lessons, though I also try to assist the student develop their own voice. That's what makes writing unique after all.
