It’s so important to get to know the student! I always start with having a chat, calming the student down and building trust in the process. I do simple exercises with them to see what they’re mastering already and what areas could do with some attention. The best tutoring comes from two people feeling comfortable around each other, so making sure this happens is a must for me to begin with!

I was Holly’s first tutee at High School and she really helped me with my grammar and homophones. I had to get extra help with english instead of taking another language that I was sad about but Holly made it much better for me and I know she is always there to help me if I need it during my gcse’s next year and anything else
