About Molly
I am currently in my final year of studying an English and Creative Writing degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
I have helped through volunteering with reading and writing in Primary schools over the last 4 years.
In the last academic year, I led a book club where a class came together after school to focus on reading skills; this was an extremely rewarding job as I observed the progress of the children's reading over the course of the year. I would let each child read throughout the session and we would discuss their understanding of the book as this was a target for some learners.
I will be studying on the English Secondary PGCE course in September so I am very keen to help English students.

It is important to initially identify each student's individual strengths and possible weaknesses. I believe that it is important to set targets in order to overcome areas of study that may need polishing or revising to set student's up for achieving the best of their potential. In turn, we will tackle these targets set through learning methods appropriate to each individual's needs.
Every individual is unique and everyone learns differently. I think it is imperative to identify how each person learns best and weave this into my teaching methods.
I believe that English can be taught in a fun and exciting way, even to the students who struggle with this subject! As a creative writing student, I aim to make my lessons as creative as possible as I believe this is the best way to learn.
I also believe that identifying progress is essential, so I like to encourage learners to express what they have learned through showing and telling me.
