About Abbie
I have been studying English literature at University for a year now but have been studying it at school for my whole life. English has always been my preferred subject in school as I always excelled at it, including being at the highest reading grade for my full school career and receiving As in both National 5 and Higher English. I also passed my first year English exams with distinction and merit each semester.

My teaching method is beginning with areas that the student feels comfortable in and raising this from being comfortable to confident. As once a student shows confidence and excitement in their own work, they are much more willing to tackle areas they are not so confident in and address what they need to improve on. This is more effective than beginning with their more challenging topics and focusing their energy to an area they may not particularly enjoy.
