About Sophie
Hi everyone,
I am Sophie and I am an English teacher and tutor based in South London. I have previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant so have a thorough understanding of Special Education Needs. I completed my teacher training and worked in an outstanding school in South London. I enjoy travelling and have volunteer in charity schools in Kenya and India.
I have a track record of students progressing in their learning with students going from a grade 4 to a grade 7 within 7 weeks. I am most familiar with Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls, Jekyll and Hyde, and the Power and Conflict Anthology at GCSE.
My passion is ensuring the safety, wellbeing and mental health of students is at the forefront of my practice. As such, I have completed a Level 2 Counselling qualification and currently, I am completing a mental health qualification. This is to ensure that I can support students through the stresses and pressures of the examination process.
