About Desiree
My name is Desiree Jackson and I have been teaching English Language Arts for over ten years in Connecticut and Tennessee. As a teacher, I have experienced a lot of success because of my passion for education. I have been rated a Level Five teacher (the best rating you can get) in Tennessee every year and earned Teacher of the Year in 2022. Due to my success, I was promoted to the English Language Arts Instructional Coach at my school where I teach other ELA teachers the strategies and practices necessary to maximize learning in their classrooms. My impact as an educator has been quite rewarding for me because I know I have changed the lives of thousands of students. I have a Bachelor's in English, a Master's in Education, and currently, I am pursuing my doctorate degree in Instructional Leadership.
