About Lydia
Teaching is my passion and my chosen career field. I take the success of my students seriously. English and writing are a part of my teaching concentration and my field of study. My bachelors degrees were in English and Secondary Education, and my master's degree was in Creative Writing and English. I have assisted students with a variety of learning needs, ranging from total beginner to published author.

I aim to help students gain a better understanding of how to write in academic settings. My lessons tend to center around conversation, aiming to develop the student's understanding of these concepts and skills. To accomplish this, it is helpful if writing samples are submitted ahead of time, but we can still accomplish a quality session without having these items beforehand. In addition, if students are struggling to get started writing, I have a variety of strategies I use to help generate ideas and "get the gears going."
