About Chloé
I am originally from Switzerland, where I studied English for my undergrad at the University of Lausanne.
I then moved to London to study English Literature for my Postgrad, and got a Masters from Queen Mary University of London in 2016.
Since then, I have been living and working in the UK as a Localisation specialist (translating from English to French) working for different companies, and in the last two years, I have been working for a children's book publisher.
I have acquired a variety of teaching experience in the last few years: back home in Switzerland, I was a French teacher for the International Baccalaureate for a year, where I helped two classes prepare for their exams. I also worked as an instructor in a youth center, and as a supervisor for after school workshops where I would help secondary school students with their homework. On top of that, I was a substitute teacher for different age groups in primary schools, and have also been tutoring a few different students throughout the years. Most recently, I helped a student in the UK with her English and French GCSE.

My lessons can be for anyone: younger children, teens, or adults. I have experience teaching and tutoring all sorts of age groups.
The lessons are between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on what we decide together.
I generally start by discussing with the student what their needs are, and then we can build a lesson plan together. If it is based on school material or preparing for exams, I adapt my lesson plan to the specific curriculum.
I like to split sessions into different part, so that it feels lighter. I will not be talking at you for an hour: I like to do some theory, some reading, and some exercises to mix things up a bit.
However the lessons can also be just conversational if the student needs to practice their speaking skills.
