As a student currently taking a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, major in English, I apply both theory-based and classroom-oriented strategies to help learners build strong language skills with confidence.
Teaching method and techniques
I use a student-centered and communicative approach that focuses on real understanding rather than memorization. My lessons integrate guided practice, short discussions, contextual reading, structured writing tasks, and pronunciation activities. I also apply formative assessment techniques such as short checks for understanding, reflection questions, and targeted feedback to support continuous improvement.
A typical lesson plan
A regular lesson usually follows four parts:
1. Warm-up and review – short recall or discussion to activate prior knowledge.
2. Lesson input – clear explanation of grammar, vocabulary, reading, or writing concepts with guided examples.
3. Practice and application – exercises, short speaking tasks, sentence construction, or paragraph writing based on the topic.
4. Feedback and reflection – correction, explanation of common errors, and short reflection to reinforce learning.
