About Abby
I have relocated to the UK from Cape Town, South Africa ️
I competed in English Olympiad’s during high school (sixth form) and did extremely well. When I was 18 I tutored English in my school and helped students aged 14-17.
Since being in the UK I have scribed for students writing their English exams, as well as tutored English on the side.
I love reading, I have a passion for the English Subject, and I hope I can help those who need a hand

When teaching English I like to start with the basics. Grammar is a big stepping stone when it comes to writing essays, and just every day English. You need to make sure you get every mark possible when it comes to English, so even the slightest grammatical error could cost you.
Punctuation is also of paramount importance, so this is something that I also like to begin with.
I have a great understanding of poetry, metaphors and all those fantastic figures of speech.
The more we practice, the better we become! So expect lots of little tests, lots of reading, and lots of chatting!
