Thiruveni was the English teacher and I was the academic coordinator.
She has exceptional language skills. She is an avid reader. She was an amazing teacher handling classes that had a range of learners with different capabilities. She would stretch herself to deliver the best.
The class that she handled in middle school had learners who were extremely well in language skills and there was a small group of learners who needed individual attention for them to meet the basic expectations. Thiruveni would approach me not with frustration but with hope that the learners who need attention will benefit if there was a support for them. This mindset of hers to approach things positively is her special quality.
Knowing Thiruveni for more than a decade now, I believe that she will give her best by preparing well, delivering it the way the learners would benefit and be there for them until they get the basics and help the ones who excel go above and beyond boundaries. I wish her the very best.
