About Bernadette
I am a graphic designer with a passion for languages. I lived in the United States, learning English natively and I currently work for an American company using the language on a daily basis. I have TOEFL IBT and IELTS certifications, both being requirements for any job opportunities and study abroad. Additionally, I have more than 8 years of teaching experience, teaching at the high school and career levels, as well as personal tutoring.

The most important thing about a class is that it needs to be flexible to adapt to the student's needs, so I always make an effort to help my students learn to handle the language in a natural way, while reinforcing the grammatical bases and vocabulary. Be careful, this does not mean that I only focus on exercises! The purpose of learning a language is to be able to use it in situations outside of class, so I like to include discussions about current topics and help my students feel confident to express their ideas.
