About Angela

Hello and thank you for considering me to be your/your child's English tutor! With over 5 years experience coaching and teaching individuals from diverse age groups and backgrounds, I love witnessing the growth and progress of my students. The opportunity to help others experience passion for studying English is extremely fulfilling and motivates me to help my students achieve all their academic goals. Everything you need to know about my background is below, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions :) I offer my first session (30 minutes) for free to get to know you and to come up with a structured plan for our sessions. Qualifications: - 4x A*/As in A-Levels, including English Literature (with 100% in coursework) - 11x Grade 9s (A**) in GCSEs, including English Literature and English Language Subjects: - English Literature (Pre-GCSE, GCSE and A Level) - English Language (Pre-GCSE, GCSE) - Essay Writing Students: - Ages: 11+ (up to A-Level) - Additional Needs: I have taught students whose first language was not English. Experience: - 1 year working at Peppo Tutors, tutoring English, Maths, and Sciences - 5 months working as an English and 11+ Teacher at XL Education Ltd - 8 months teaching Maths, English, and Science to 11+ and GCSE students at Ad Astra Tuition - 3 years of experience as a Public Speaking Assistant, aiding cohorts of students with both speech writing and speech delivery - 3 months working as a private tutor teaching a variety of subjects, ranging from English to Chemistry to Latin

About the lesson

- Capable of teaching English Literature to A Level, GCSE, and 11+ Students. - Capable of teaching English Language to GCSE and 11+ Students. - Happy to teach up to 1 hour/1 hour and a half sessions, but more than willing to accommodate to the students' needs. - A typical 1 hour session would involve spending 15 minutes recapping theory, followed by a half an hour discussion revolving around the topic and the student's concerns, and finally 15 minutes where I would set homework for the student (such as an essay plan or research task).
