About Akam
Though I have taught only a handful of students so far, I assure you that I will do all I can to teach you in the best methods I know of. If you are distrustful, I could even bring up research and explain them to support my case.

I majored in English Language and Literature. Way before that, I learned English without a tutor and even got a total IELTS score of band 8.0. I am learning Japanese without a tutor again, which should be one of the most difficult languages in the world. Combine all this with the fact that I am writing a master's proposal, all means that I know what I mean when I say one method works better than the other.
Skills and how I train them:
- Listening and reading: Immersion with consistent on-the-fly translation.
- Speaking: Starting with back-translation or accuracy-focused TLBT CLT, eventually doing fluency-focused TBLT and CLT.
- Pronunciation: Shadowing until absolute perfection, which is completely possible.
- Writing: Feedback based on clear rubrics.
