About Benjamin
As a musician who has studied in both the US and Germany, I have encountered many non-native speakers. I’ve tutored colleagues in English from places as far-flung as South Korea, Belarus, and Colombia. Proofreading academic papers, conversation skills, and examination preparation have been among the most common subjects.
Since January of 2018 I have worked as a Language Trainer at inlingua Business Academy Freiburg. There, I teach group courses and individual lessons, as well as intensive courses.

It is well-known that one must have conversations with native speakers before achieving a sense of fluidity and the ability to speak in a continuous manner. A strong personality and sense of cadence in the language comes across very prominently despite small mistakes that often cause people to trip up.
My method focuses on creating fluency through confidence, based upon reinforcing grammar through conversations about familiar topics, while gradually expanding vocabulary and the ability to express and comprehend nuances therein.
I tailor my lessons to the particular needs of the student, taking into account factors such as their professional environment (e.g. Business English, English for math, etc.), short-term goals (e.g. exams, upcoming trips to English-speaking countries), or general interests they may have (books, films, music, art).
