About Grace
I am a first-year undergraduate student at Durham University studying English Literature where I have completed first year with a First. At A levels I was one of six in my year to achieve an A* and GCSE English Literature grade was an 8. I went to a state educated sixth form where revision required a lot of self-motivation and independent study and I honed my organisational skills. I am keen to pass on my revision strategies and inspire confidence to my tutees.
A little about me: I had an English teacher who completely changed my outlook on the subject and gave me the confidence to push myself. That’s why I want to do the same for you.
I offer friendly, tailored lessons that focus on making you feel capable in every session.

With my students, I aim to break revision down into manageable, achievable steps, helping them stay organised and making the most of their tutoring time. Together, we focus on key areas of the course each week, allowing plenty of time for revision, essay practise, and detailed, personalised feedback well before exams. My goal is not only to improve subject knowledge but also to develop effective time management, revision strategies, and confidence. I believe that with the right encouragement and structure, every student can make meaningful progress. I have tutored 3 students so far - one at GCSE level and two studying A level English Literature. I tailor my tutoring to each students individual goals and learning styles. Lessons are typically 1 hour long but are adjustable depending on your child's needs, especially when approaching exam time.
