About Elisa
Having spent eight years immersed in the world of guitar education, I've come to understand that each student's musical journey is a distinct and personal one. Guiding over 300 individuals has reinforced my belief that a truly effective teaching approach must be tailored to the individual. I recognize that your experience with the guitar is unique, shaped by your musical interests, learning style, and personal goals. My teaching is centered on providing a flexible and adaptive learning environment that directly addresses your current skill level and the genres you are passionate about. Whether you are starting with the foundational chord progressions, exploring the melodic possibilities of fingerpicking, or tackling the challenges of advanced soloing, I carefully calibrate the pace and content of our lessons to ensure continuous improvement, adapting to your unique learning pace and style. I believe that music theory is an essential element of becoming a well-rounded musician, and I integrate it directly into our practical playing to make it accessible and applicable. Creating a friendly and encouraging atmosphere is a cornerstone of my teaching, where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring your musical ideas. My eight years as a guitar instructor have been a journey of continuous learning and adaptation, guiding over 300 students with varied musical aspirations. My teaching style blends structured lessons with the flexibility to explore individual interests. I firmly believe in the importance of a strong technical foundation, covering essential skills like chord voicings, scales, and rhythmic accuracy. However, I also understand that motivation comes from playing the music one loves. Therefore, I incorporate students' favorite songs and genres into our lessons, making learning both engaging and relevant.
For those interested in improvisation, I provide a framework for understanding harmony and melody, encouraging them to develop their own soloing skills. For students with songwriting ambitions, I offer guidance on song structure, chord progressions, and lyrical content. My greatest joy lies in witnessing the transformation of my students as they develop their skills, confidence, and lifelong passion for playing the guitar.
