About Marleen
I am a first year mathematics bachelor student at the University of Technology and Economics in Budapest. I have over 4 years of experience tutoring high school students in the Netherlands. I mostly taught mathematics: trigonometry, pre-calculus, geometry, and algebra, but I also have some experience teaching physics, biology and chemistry.
I have always loved tutoring. I see getting the best out of every student as a challenge. But the thing I have always enjoyed the most is seeing students actually starting to like subjects that they first considered a burden.

First thing I will do is determine what the student has difficulties with. I will prepare classes on a requested subject and when getting deeper into a more difficult topic, I'll keep relating them to the big picture. With this method we usually find all the (sub)topics that the student is having difficulties with.
I can answer any questions a student may have. We can do homework exercises together or go over previous made exams. I am really flexible when it comes to teaching methods. So I am open to giving classes as the student wishes.

Perfect! Marleen has been teaching my daughter who is in secondary school for a few weeks now who was struggling in maths, Marleen really is patient and has really helped my disgusted enjoy maths now and not struggling anymore. I am an undergraduate psychology student, and Marleen helped me prepare for my statistics final exam. She really knew how to explain stuff that seemed overcomplicated to me and made me work over the lessons I saw in class. I ended up passing the exam with a 8/10!
I would definitely recommend her to any struggling student, she was very nice and patient with me, and never forgot to smile. :)Marleen is a great teacher who helped me finding were my struggles were, and she spent the necessary time to answer all my questions that my math teacher at school was skipping.
