About Sanjana
I am a passionate English Literature student, book-lover, and keen writer. I enjoy sharing my love for my subject which has lead to me seeking out many teaching and mentoring roles in the past. Recently, This includes having volunteered my time to tutor during the Covid-19 pandemic to help out people who were unable to afford private tutoring. I have also supported school mentor and study schemes through which I built relationships with those in the younger years. One of my study buddies went onto to be part of the first group of younger students allowed to participate in Senior Literature Society (usually only for GCSE and A Level students) as a result of her increased confidence and passion for English.

I particularly enjoy how discursive English is and so I like to keep sessions interactive and discussion-based. This way I can cover the theory in an exciting and more open-minded way and really bring the set texts to life. I prepare lesson plans myself and make customised, and engaging notes for my tutees. The lessons are based on the specifications of the course but these only provide a starting point for the discussion in the lessons. I set practical work each week relating to the topic and we discuss and reflect on these tasks in the following class.
