About Ella
When you have a lesson with me, my goal is always to make learning feel manageable and not overwhelming. I’m a big believer in asking questions, breaking things down step by step, and taking the pressure off. I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and actually understanding what’s going on not just memorizing it for an exam. Because I’ve only just come out of high school myself, I really get what NCEA feels like and what teachers expect. I’ve done well across Math, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, and English, so I can explain things in a way that makes sense from a student’s point of view. I’ve helped lots of classmates and younger students before, and I love that moment when something finally clicks. I try to be organized and professional, but also relaxed and easy to talk to. Every student learns differently, so I adjust how I teach depending on what works best for you. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, catch up on tricky topics, or go for Excellence, I’m here to help you feel confident and proud of your progress.

As a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor, I focuses on building confidence and genuine understanding rather than rote learning. I break down complex ideas into simple, clear steps and use real-world examples to help students connect concepts to what they already know. My approach is collaborative, I encourage questions, check understanding often, and adapt each lesson to match the student’s learning style, pace, and goals.
A typical lesson is 50–60 minutes, giving enough time to explain new ideas, practise them, and review progress without overwhelming the student. I also provide structured revision strategies and exam techniques, especially for students preparing for NCEA assessments.
I tutor high school students, typically from Year 9 to Year 13, across Maths, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, and English. As a recent high-achieving high school graduate, I understand the NCEA system extremely well and explain content in a relatable, student-friendly way. My experience includes supporting classmates, younger students, and peers across multiple subjects, and I take pride in making even difficult topics feel manageable.
My lessons are ideal for students who want to improve their understanding, boost their grades, or prepare confidently for internal and external exams.
