About Georgia
I am a second year Modern Languages student at Newcastle University. At GCSE I received an A* in Spanish and an A in German. During my A Levels I tutored GCSE students in Geography, worked 1on1 with year 7 students to help them improve their reading and writing skills and carried out work experience in a school in which I worked with small groups of students to improve their written and spoken Spanish.

I am a friendly, enthusiastic person who is keen to encourage students throughout their revision, praising them on what they have done well and supporting them in their next steps to success. As a tutor, I will help students better understand the grammar and structure of either the Spanish or German language, as I recognise there are concepts which can be tricky to grasp. Throughout my 10 years of language learning, I have picked up many helpful tips which I believe are not always taught in a classroom setting, however they can be very beneficial for exams. I also understand that one of the largest obstacles in language learning is having the confidence to express yourself, whether that be written or verbally, which is why I will maintain a patient outlook as a tutor, where the student doesn't feel like they are being overly pressured to say anything when they are not ready to. The most important thing is that mistakes in my sessions are not only accepted but welcomed, as they are the only way from which to learn.
