About Amelie
English is something that I will always value as a crucial subject. However, it can sometimes be daunting or viewed as more of a "chore" rather than a core subject; my aim is to undo these stereotypes and to provide entertaining lessons so that students can develop their own unique passion for the subject, whether that comes in the form of reading, creative writing or speaking.

In a typical 1 hour lesson, I would start with exercises such as games and flashcards to test the students' knowledge. Since learning to write and speak coherently and fluently are core aspects of the KS3 syllabus, my lessons have a balance between comprehensive tasks focused on grammar and technical terms and more creative tasks, to keep lessons engaging, as well as informative. I have also previously tutored maths at KS3 level and received great feedback
