About Rachel
I am a University of Cambridge Graduate and a trained teacher of Science with Chemistry and Biology specialism. As a teacher of mixed abilities for five years I enjoy helping others to get a better understanding of science by providing the building blocks the student needs to reach the answers themselves. Just "knowing" the answer is definitely not as satisfying or useful! I currently teach part time, tutor part time and run Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions at the weekends.

As a one to one or small group tutor I will help to break down the myths and misconceptions of science. I love to relate the words on the page to how we can understand the world around us. I can break down subjects into really easy chunks or stretch students to apply or evaluate topics. Your child can have the opportunity to have that "oh that's how it works!" moment and wherever I can bring hands on science to the topic at hand I will!
