Approachable and friendly, I want to show you what teachers often miss - the 'how' aspect of literature. With me, you are not expected to produce a critical and evaluative essay without explicitly being told how it looks like with targeted feedback.

Whether one-to-one or group sessions, I combine close analysis geared to the specific literary form; live modelling; essay planning; and mishaps senior examiners flag in reports yearly so that you can learn how to construct critical and evaluative arguments. I have 1 year experience with Year 13 students and English Language resit students who were aiming for a 4 or a more ambitious grade for their post-18 destinations. A prolific writer, having won essay competitions and achieved an A* in A-Level 2026, I intend to show you how to do well in this subject rather than providing you with information without modelling its application at the highest level.
