About Benjamin
I completed a bachelor of environmental engineering with a major in geotechnical engineering with honours from the university of Newcastle Australia. I've worked for over a decade as a professional engineer in many different fields such as water, wastewater, GIS, agriculture irrigation, geotechnical and coastal protection engineering. I have also gained experience in software engineering and have created multiple engineering software applications.
Recently I moved to London for a change of scenery (as a lot of Australians do) and changed careers to become a teacher's assistant and teaching cover supervisor. I have loved this change and developed a passion for teaching and helping others learn, particularly in maths, science and geography. I believe a great teacher or tutor can have a positive impact on a child's future and give them the tools they need for life after school.

My lessons are all online and range from 30 minutes to 2 hours in duration. My lessons will be tailored to the students specific needs for the subject I will be tutoring.
I believe in making learning as fun and as interesting as possible so students are engaged and absorb the information they are learning. With mathematics tutoring, I believe in showing the students how the mathematics learnt is applied in the real world and everyday life, so students see the value in what they are learning, thus engaging them more in the lesson.
For exam preparation, lessons will be tailored so students are familiar with exam style questions, language and how to correctly formulate a response.
I will use the app BitPaper so students can students and I can both write and interact on a digital whiteboard.
