Typical speaking-listening lesson:
**Split into 4 parts: 15 minutes of conversation; 15 minutes of speaking on topics (prepared and unprepared); 15 minutes of listening practice; and 15 minutes of pronunciation or accent reduction work.
Typical reading lesson:
**Exercises on increasing reading speed, increasing vocabulary, attention to reading strategies.
**A mixture of authentic material and packaged reading texts.
**A variety of response modes (oral, written, comprehension exercises.)
Typical writing lesson:
**Short introduction to a writing strategy (a short 5 to10-minute lecture with examples)
**Feedback provided on a writing assignment submitted in advance.
**Examination of examples of effective/ineffective writing.
**Grammar and vocabulary work as need.
