About Josie
I am an Arts Law graduate from the Australian National University where I attained Distinctions and High Distinctions in both my degrees and ranked first in the year on individual essays and assignments. I studied English electives at university level in my Arts degree and I also have qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Coaching. I have worked as an academic tutor of English for over 10 years. I teach essay and assignment writing, oral presentation and exam preparation, study skills, literacy, creative writing and English as a second language.

I enjoy helping students of all abilities achieve their potential. I have tutored and coached primary school, high school, TAFE and university students in English for over 10 years. I also have experience tutoring students from non-English speaking backgrounds and students with disabilities.
Lesson content is tailored to individual students' needs. It draws on techniques I used as a high achieving student, and from the courses I have completed. It also includes content and techniques from Australian government endorsed education sources.
I teach essay and assignment writing, oral presentation and exam preparation, study skills, literacy, creative writing and English as a second language. I also offer an essay and assignment review service. Students are provided with handouts as well as oral tuition.
