About Clara
Clara Lin is a Vancouver-based pianist, vocalist, and music educator whose work blends jazz, funk, Latin, and classical influences into a deeply expressive and groove-driven sound.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance and Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music, and a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Northern Colorado.
As a performer, Clara leads a trio exploring rhythm, storytelling, and emotional nuance. As a teacher, she specializes in helping students develop strong listening skills, musical intuition, and creative confidence at the piano.
Her teaching goes beyond traditional methods—integrating improvisation, play-based learning, and stylistic exploration. She believes music is not just something to be practiced, but something to be felt, understood, and lived.
Whether working with young beginners or adult learners, Clara creates a supportive and inspiring space where students can discover their own musical voice.

Not your typical piano lessons.
I’m Clara, a Vancouver-based pianist and vocalist teaching students to feel music, not just play the right notes.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to the piano, my lessons focus on:
• improvisation & creativity
• strong listening skills
• groove, rhythm & musical expression
• jazz, funk, pop & classical foundations
For kids, I use playful, interactive methods to build musical intuition from the start.
For adults, we explore your musical taste and bring it to life at the piano.
No pressure, no rigid paths—just real music, real growth.
