About Brennan
I am a reliable and passionate Piano tutor with 19 years of teaching and professional experience. I teach piano to school and college students and strongly believe that music education can develop both skill and confidence.
One important milestone in my career was helping students grow from beginners into confident performers. Witnessing students enjoy music and perform successfully has been deeply rewarding and motivating for me as a teacher.
My lessons focus on strong technical foundations including finger control, hand coordination, rhythm, posture, and music reading. I also teach basic music theory in a clear and practical way to enhance understanding and creativity.
I believe learning piano nurtures focus, discipline, creativity, and emotional expression. Music helps students gain self-confidence and develop habits that benefit academic and personal life.
My teaching style is calm, patient, and student-centred. I tailor lessons to each learner’s pace and goals, ensuring learning is enjoyable and motivating. My aim is to inspire students to love piano and continue their musical journey with confidence.

My piano teaching philosophy is interactive, adaptive, and creativity-driven, focusing on nurturing both technical proficiency and expressive musicality. I emphasise communication, ensuring students clearly understand finger technique, hand posture, rhythm, and music theory. Lessons are personalised to the student’s learning style and level, helping beginners build confidence and advanced students refine their skills while staying motivated.
I make lessons engaging with real-life examples and case studies, such as analysing favourite songs, exploring classical compositions, and demonstrating music’s role in films and everyday life. In addition to piano, I teach sight-reading, music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, and performance preparation, equipping students with a complete understanding of music. My methodology fosters creativity, discipline, performance confidence, and a lifelong love for music, guiding students to perform skilfully while enjoying the journey of learning piano.
