Hello! I'm Maki. I was born in Japan, currently live in Australia.

 【who is Maki?】
▷Japanese teacher who used to work as a nurse in Japan
▷she is from Fukuoka
▷her actual name is Makiko, you can call her either Maki or Makiko ▷she love learning languages, she studied English by herself
▷The reason why she started teaching Japanese was because she was well aware of the difficulties and enjoyments of learning language since she studied English by herself. Even though sometimes it could be frustrating, the moment when you are able to use the new words/phrases you have learned is always unforgettable. She wants to bring those moments to the students who are learning Japanese!

▷what do you think is the most important when you study Japanese?
︎Maki thinks that the answer is spending a lots of time with Japanese.
︎Also it is important to allow yourself to take time for learning. Taking steps one by one with no rush is the key.
▷how the student can spend a lot of time with it?
︎Maki will provide opportunities by using books, poems, comics, anime so that the students can enjoy the time too.
▷I know nothing about Japanese! Can I be a student?
 ︎ of course you can and try not to be too nervous :) Everyone has their own starting point. Maki can do the lessons with English, can teach you from the very basic of Japanese.
▷I want to know Japanese culture too!
︎ of course, Maki can teach you all about Japan and she would like you to know that you need to understand not only language but also our culture/history because Japanese is not just the word, it is also the way we show our respects to others and define the relationships. So it is crucial to know the deep meaning of Japan/Japanese. You will be able to understanding more that before.

▷On the trail lesson, Maki will ask what you want to learn the most and your goal of this learning. Maki will conduct the lessons to achieve student’s goals.
▷Maki will never give up on it so she explains meaning of the word, pronunciation, grammar until the students understand them completely.
