About Tatum
My interest in Excel began while working with data and understanding how useful spreadsheets can be. This led me to complete a Bachelor's in Computer Applications, where I developed strong technical skills. Over the past 6 years, I have taught students how to use Excel effectively, helping them build confidence and practical knowledge.
My teaching style is based on clarity and patience. I explain each concept step by step so students can understand easily. I use examples and hands-on practice to make lessons engaging and useful. I also encourage students to ask questions and explore different ways of solving problems.
Outside teaching, I continue to improve my skills by learning new Excel features and applications. This helps me keep my lessons updated and relevant. Teaching Excel is rewarding because I see students become more confident and capable in handling data. My goal is to help every learner feel comfortable and skilled in using spreadsheets.

My Excel lessons focus on helping students understand how to work with data in a simple and practical way. I begin with basic concepts such as entering data, formatting cells, and using simple formulas. I explain each step clearly so students can follow along without confusion. Real-life examples, such as budgeting and data tracking, are used to make learning meaningful and easy to understand. I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and asking questions.
As students improve, I introduce more advanced tools such as functions, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis techniques. I guide them through practical exercises that help them understand how to organize and analyze information effectively. Practice is included in every lesson to build confidence and accuracy. I also explain mistakes clearly so students can learn and improve without feeling discouraged.
Excel skills are useful in many areas, including academics and work. Students become more organized and confident when handling data. My goal is to help learners develop strong Excel skills so they can use spreadsheets efficiently and independently in real-life situations.
