About Indie
My interest in Excel and data analysis started from a desire to transform raw information into actionable insights. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Systems followed by an M.Sc in Business Analytics, where I developed expertise in both technical and applied aspects of data analysis. Over 8 years, I have taught students ranging from beginners to advanced users, focusing on building both skills and confidence.
I emphasise hands-on learning, practical exercises, and real-world examples to make complex Excel functions approachable. I encourage learners to explore, experiment, and understand the logic behind formulae and workflows, fostering independence and mastery.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with business analytics, Excel advancements, and workflow optimisation techniques. Watching students gain proficiency, analytical insight, and confidence in managing data is extremely rewarding. Supporting learners in achieving both competence and self-assurance in Excel is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

Excel lessons are designed to help students develop both practical and analytical skills in data management, calculation, and visualisation. I teach core topics such as formulae, functions, pivot tables, charts, macros, and data analysis techniques, with practical exercises reflecting real-world business or academic applications. Lessons emphasise understanding underlying logic and workflows, ensuring learners gain confidence and independence in using the software efficiently.
I tailor sessions to each learner’s experience. Beginners work on navigation, basic functions, and simple data entry to develop fluency. Intermediate learners explore advanced formulae, conditional formatting, and charting, while advanced learners focus on macros, automation, and complex data analysis tasks. Each lesson integrates practice exercises, real-life scenarios, and stepwise guidance to consolidate understanding and skill.
Excel lessons also strengthen logical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving. Students gain the ability to analyse, interpret, and present data confidently in professional or academic contexts. My goal is to provide a supportive and structured learning environment where learners can become proficient, self-reliant, and empowered with Excel skills.
